This look from Michael Kors resort reminds me of the wardrobe from the movie, Tron (if the characters in Tron had some sort of black tie affair. A long shot, I know). More so, I see it as an update to Carrie’s infamous hot pink dress, black studded belt, and pearls from The Sex and the City movie. Needless to say, I love it.

Is it a time in your life when you’re just swamped with birthdays? It’s hard being constantly on your feet and thoughtful when all of your good friends seem to be born in the same month. And you know what they say about the quick and easy present of gift certificates - too impersonal to even give to your mailman. There’s even an aisle in CVS dedicated to gift cards nowadays!
Here’s a cute idea: next time you find yourself grabbing a gift card, try to include an item necessary to the gift certificate’s destination. For example, if you’re buying your girlfriend a gift certificate for a mani and pedi, then pick up a nice little bottle of nail polish to go with it. It adds a personable touch to a valuable piece of paper or plastic!
A little while back, I posted Miranda Kerr in a short white Marchesa dress perfect for a bride willing to take a risk! I think this Chanel Haute Couture dress that Blake Lively wore to The Green Lantern premiere would also be a lovely, original, maybe less risky, bridal gown. What do you think?
